Maria Vladimirovna Lomakina made her debut in 1919 during the 2-nd exhibition of paintings and sculptures of artistic society of Crimean southern cost. In 1923 she was send by Crimean Union of workers of art in Petrograd Vhutain. She entered monumental section to the studio of Petrov-Vodkin. Later on Lomakina worked at copying and scientifically reconstruction of Old Russian frescos, including paintings of Sophia cathedral in Kiev. From 1933 the artist lived in Zagorsk (now Sergiev Posad). She dedicated to this place numerous works. Retrospection of her works will represent more than 100 items of painting and graphic art from the Tretyakov gallery collection and collection of artist’s daughter.
