The exposition from a serie of the exhibitions devoted to graphics collectors acquaints with a part of the big fund of Michael Larionov – Natalia Goncharova. The collection was delivered to the Tretyakov gallery in 1989.
The outstanding Russian artist M.F.Larionov (1881–1964) collected the European and Oriental engraving almost all his life. For the painter the engraivings were, first of all, an auxiliary material for own work. The exhibition represent about 250 exhibits.
Products of various European engraving schools of XVII–ÕÕ of centuries devoted to the theatre, dance, suit history, sports, circus will be shown. The particular interest arouse the big section of an ancient engraving of the East – China, Japan, Vietnam, India, containing such rarities, as the Japanese playbills of XVIII century.
