Small-scale retrospective show of one of the largest Georgian artists of the XX-th century nicknamed "the Georgian Goya". Lado (Vladimir) Davidovich Gudiashvili (1896–1980) was engaged in easel and monumental painting. He also illustrated books.

For example, The Knight in the Panther's Skin written in the 12th century by the Georgian epic-poet Shota Rustaveli. In Gudiashvili’s early works the dramtic grotesque is combined with a poetic the national life, strengthened by mystical moods. Between 1919 and 1925 artist lived in Paris, was on friendly terms with Pablo Picasso, Maurice Utrillo, Amedeo Modigliani, and also with Michail Larionov and Nataly Goncharova.

After returning in Tbilisi he often found inspiration in mythological allegories and folklore, painted portrait and pictures in an is bright-decorative manner, worked for theatre and cinema. In an exposition about 40 products from a Moscow private collection and Tretyakov gallery.
