Martyros Saryan, the master of a bright picturesque palette, the artist of a circle of "the Blue rose”, “the Union of Russian artists”, “the World of Art”. The landscape was the central genre of its creativity. At the exhibition the artist is presented as well by portrait works. The State Tretyakov gallery shows the collection of M.Saryan’s works entirely for the first time: these are paintings, water colours, drawings and the theatrical sketches created by the artist since 1906.
