Oleg Prokofiev (1928–1998), the artist and the poet, the son of composer Sergei Prokofiev, was born in Paris and moved to Moscow in 1936.
In the 1950-1960s Oleg became part of nonconformist art movement. He studied privately under famous Robert Falk as well at the art department of Moscow Pedagogical Institute. His was married to the British expert on Russian Avant-guard, Camilla Gray; after death of the wife emigrated to Great Britain (1972).
He also became a sculptor, published poetry and promoted Serge Prokofiev Foundation. His works are held the art museums in England, Germany, Italy and the USA, The exhibition will show about 100 paintings, graphic works and sculpture from the Tretyakov Gallery and private collections from Great Britain.
