Complete solo-exhibition of famous Russian artist Nikolay Ge (1831–1894), maestro of portraits, historical and religious paintings, who was one of the founders and the member of the Society for Circulating Art Exhibitions.
The exposition includes over 200 masterpieces and reveals a new vision of his painting. The project shows that Nikolay Ge is not only an author of well-known portraits and historical pictures but a landscape painter and an outstanding drawing master.
The exposition also presents works from 10 museums of Russia, the National Arts Museum of the Republic of Belarus and Kiev Museum of Russian Art.
The exhibition also includes X-ray pictures of paintings, also some videos about the process of restoration, about history of the return the Geneva collection and other films.
