The exhibition is a collaborative project of the Tretyakov Gallery and the Sergiev Memorial Foundation. For the first time in many years, the museum has again on display a painting that ordinarily stays in the vaults. The famous canvas is exhibited alongside a multimedia program that includes documents, sketches, drawings, photos and items that tell the story of the relationship between the painter Viktor Vasnetsov and Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna.
The material was contributed by the State Tretyakov Gallery, Viktor Vasnetsov’s Memorial House, State Archives of the Russian Federation and the Sergiev Memorial Foundation.
