The exhibition is dedicated to the collection of works by Russian artists of the turn of the XIX and XX centuries from the famous Leningrad collection of Kazimira Konstantinovna Basevich (1898-1973). In 1961, K. Basevich donated to the Tretyakov Gallery ten works. Among those painting was one of the iconic masterpieces of Russian art of the XX century – “The Bathing of the Red Horse” by Konstantin Petrov-Vodkin. Later, in her will K. Basevich appointed the Tretyakov Gallery as the recipient of further 24 art works. In 2017, the Yekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts received a large amount of paintings, graphics, sculptures, decorative and applied art from the collection of K. Basevich. Some of them are presented at the exhibition as well.
Fully transformed exhibition hall will present more than 70 paintings, drawings, sculptures and selected pieces of decorative and applied arts and furniture from three museum collections.
