The January of 2020 will mark the artist’s 150th birthday so the exhibition is timed to coincide with this date. In addition to the pictorial works by Yakunchikova-Weber, such as From the Window of an Old House. Vvedenskoye, Covers, Church in an Old Manor. Cheryomushki near Moscow, for the first time, there will be shown photographs from the family archive, including amateur photos taken by the artist’s husband, Lev Weber. With the help of a camera, he managed to reveal the inner world of Maria Vasilyevna. It is also planned to display about 20 unique plate negatives from the collection of the manuscript department of the Tretyakov Gallery, which came from the family of the artist’s descendants.
Every Wednesday you can visit for free the permanent exhibition "The Art of the Twentieth Century" in the New Tretyakov (Krymsky Val, 10).
